Problem
Kondai Lip Resort’s existing website was outdated, hard to navigate, and offered a clunky
booking
process. Visitors struggled to find key information about the backwater escape, and mobile users
faced
broken links and slow load times—leading to lost inquiries and bookings.
Research
- Stakeholder Interviews: We spoke with the resort’s management and front-desk team to understand guest pain points and must-have features (room details, packages, local experiences).
- Competitive Analysis: We reviewed top Kerala resort websites to identify best practices in booking flows, visual storytelling, and mobile usability.
Strategy
- Simplify the menu structure and add clear “Book Now” buttons at every stage.
- Use high-impact visuals and concise copy to highlight luxury rooms, local excursions, and signature amenities.
- Prioritize responsive layouts and fast-loading images to delight guests on smartphones and tablets.

- Created wireframes for both desktop and mobile, then refined them into full high-fidelity mockups with a soothing color palette (light charcoal, sunset yellow) and clean typography.
- Curated a library of resort photos—boats drifting on smooth waters, guests fishing at dawn, savoring fresh seafood feasts, and bird watching from the deck—to evoke the backwater magic.
